SHANEQUA REED BIOGRAPHY
Shanequa is a college graduate from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in
Information Systems. But even as a little girl, she envisioned herself as a STAR. Shanequa just
currently started pursuing her dreams as an actress. In her first film, she was given the lead role
as a psychiatrist in Confessions of a Player(2004). What else has she done? Well, a supporting
role in Nothing But a Thang(2005) *available for purchase at Target.com and Amazon.com*,
appeared in other projects including; Hef and the Magnificent Mansion(2005), Best Served Cold
(2005), and Rain(2006). Shanequa doesn’t just stop there, you may have seen her on a
television show Eye For an Eye, Cavemen(2007), Simple Life(2007), Do Not Disturb(2008) or a
Texas Lottery(2005) commercial. She has also been in a music video with United Tribe directed
by Nia Pebbles(2005), True Ballin’(2005) performed by Mr. Gin and 1973(2007) by James Blunt.
What do we have to look forward to in the near future? Very Good Question!!! Shanequa
decided to create her own destiny by creating/producing/acting in her first SAG Short Film titled
"Game of Chess". She plans to submit to film festivals and perhaps get a budget together to
make it a feature. Hard Way Heroes, as a villain, still in production. She is also waiting on the
greenlight for a feature film titled "Running For Gold" in Texas starting early spring. Shanequa
worked on the following movies not yet released Frankenhood and Ghetto Physics, and short-
films Acholiland, Back From Reality, and The Machine Man.
Shanequa has the girl next door look with the bad girl mentality. She can be innocent yet sweet
noirish intent. Tough girl (no doubt), kicking down doors, raising all the stakes. Be on the look out
for the next promising young female actress as she rises to stardom!!!
